SAVE MONEY BY SUPPORTING LOCAL BUSINESS
Dear savvy customer,
Would you like to know how to get the best deals?
Hint: It’s based on how you choose your favourite companies.
At GoValue, we believe that building a great relationship with your favourite local businesses, inevitably gives you a better deal AND actually makes you feel better about spending your money.
After all, if you knew your purchase helped someone send their kids to school, it would make buying that bulk deal of flowers and chocolates that much better, right? 😉
Here’s how you can be a savvier buyer and support local business too.
1. What Do You Love?
Some people love cats. Some love dogs. Some love embroidery and others love to visit their kids’ rugby games at school.
But we often don’t recognize it!
You can easily support something if you actually love what the industry adds to your life. If you love art – check out local art dealerships. If you love film, charity, sports, you’ll find yourself naturally connecting with those related companies.
Discovering this is, is like finding out what your passions are, and in the same breath, where your investments “naturally lie.”
2. Check Out The Businesses, Online
Here’s the important word: online!
When you start looking around for the things you love – you’ll find them. A lot of businesses make their money around these things – but what you’re really looking for are the cool ones. The creative ones. Ones that keep with the times.
A dynamic business has made their online presence really cool to be around. They populate their page with videos, posts and have local people regularly commenting and asking questions (and getting answers.)
i.e., they have built a community!
3. Start Conversations In The Community
See, it is in the community that you will find various “markets.”
Multiple businesses, vying for you to choose them. This determines the price-points you so often see – and helps you make an informed decision – based on the value they show you.
E.g., A slick Joburg – based company with ongoing entertaining blogs / vlogs that helps you before they even ask for money, is actually allowed to ask you more for their service…
…Compared to the standard blocky website with a brief summary of their services, followed by a contact form.
Once you find these businesses that make it easy to follow them, engage with them online and ask questions–hold onto them! –
You can model your understanding of entire communities based on these companies… And in so doing, become more savvy on where you choose to spend your time, clicks and money, per industry.
When we say “support local business and save”
we actually mean“be more discerning, curious and open-minded digitally.”
The online world helps you find business owners who genuinely want to give value to you – rewarding you with great deals, while you help them understand what their market really wants.
